Be Inspired by a Horse This Summer
Sweet Rock Stables of Manchester, MD will be at the Carroll County Times Pet Expo on June 14, 2014 at the Carroll County Ag Center in Westminster MD. We will have a booth and our very own Mini Horse SRS Moe will be present for the Time to Ride 100 Day Horse Challenge
Sweet Rock Stables of Manchester MD has entered to compete in the 100 Day Horse Challenge by introducing 100 or more new people to horse activities in 100 days, beginning May 31, 2014. The 100 Day Horse Challenge is a program that aims to welcome 100,000 newcomers to horse activities across the country. Created by the Time to Ride initiative, the 100 Day Horse Challenge involves 1,000 hosts like Sweet Rock Stables who believe that horse activities can contribute to the health and well-being of all Americans.
Sweet Rock Stables is a full-care horse boarding facility with yearlong riding instruction available. Our facilities offer boarders the opportunity to enjoy their horses year round with indoor and outdoor riding areas, and access to trails that lead to the nearby Prettyboy Reservoir trails.
Sweet Rock Stables believes that horse activities are beneficial to individuals and families in many ways. With the convenience of digital entertainment, many families are slipping away from an active lifestyle and getting caught in a computer-generated reality. Yet, those families that take time to engage in horse activities – perhaps after-school riding lessons for the kids, or an outing to a horse show – are finding the time invested returns priceless rewards. We also host all-breed open schooling shows during the temperate months of the year, and are active members of the American Morgan Horse Association and the Pennsylvania Morgan Horse Club. Younger equestrians are offered the opportunity to join our American Morgan Horse Association affiliated youth group activities to learn more about riding and horse related subjects and for a little old-fashioned fun at the barn.
Perhaps it’s time to reconnect with the horse to find the benefits of equine activities. The horse can bring the family together in an activity that is part work-out, part therapy session and part pure exhilaration.
Sweet Rock Stables is proud to introduce newcomers to horses through a variety of events and activities. To learn more call 410 374 3870 or visit www.SweetRockStables.com to see our list of events.
